Reflection of Blogging

My blogging experience was ok. I didn’t hate it and I didn’t love it. It was just another process of turning in my work for English.  I didn’t find it dreadful, it was just so-so. Having said that, I probably will not continue my blog. It was just for the class and I don’t feel the need to for it to continue now that the class is ending. I read just about everyone blogs, I tried to mix it up for every comment assignment. My last words for my classmates are pretty much " Have a good life, and possibly see you next semester. "

Time I Had a Great Time

The Time I had a Great Time
The time I had a great time would be when my dad took my brothers and I to Six Flags Magic Mountain. What made it so great was that it was totally on the fly. We were driving by it, and my dad simply asked if we wanted to go. Usually people plan these things, so you can imagine the combination of confusion and happiness when we were all " Hells yea!" . We went on just about every ride, Batman, Riddler's Revenge, Ninja, Colossus, and ,one I was hesitant at first, Goliath. I remember when we approached that drop. All I could do is scream. It felt like it took forever, I remember having to take a breath to finish screaming on the way down, but it was well worth it. And Six Flag's new ride " X-2". I remember the feeling of awesomeness when the speakers in the headrest were playing Metallica's " Enter Sandman", as we went of the lift backwards. There was fire and twists and turns. Who wouldn’t have a great time at a place like this. What made it truly special was that I was with my dad, and we don’t get so spend too much time together so that’s when I had such a wonderful time at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Review of the Xbox 360 Slim
The Xbox 360 came out in 2006. Four years later, the Xbox 360 Slim came out. The Xbox 360 slim is not the next generation for Microsoft but it's an improvement. The design is sleeker, it is not as heavy, and it doesn’t have a bulky hard drive. All of the original Xbox 360 equipment will work on it, and the best thing of all, is that it has a bigger memory capacity.  As a gamer, memory is key. At the moment, I myself only have a fifteen gigabyte hard drive. And as someone who has been playing on his Xbox for six+ years, the Xbox 360 Slim has my solution. The Xbox 360 Slim can have up to 250 gigs. I am definitely looking at one of those for the holidays. The Xbox 360 Slim also has an internal Wi-Fi adapter so that it can connect to your router for online capability. The old Xbox needed an external devise that didn’t work all too well; my friend would get disconnected all the time. And that is an important feature because some people don’t have the Ethernet cable to reach their router. In my honest opinion, the Xbox 360 Slim is a great addition to the Microsoft products, and is a must need for Xbox users: it is time to get rid of your bulky original Xboxes, myself included.

My Thoughts on Fast Food Nation
The book Fast Food Nation has shown me that American fast food chains effect the whole world. From the hiring of workers worldwide to the spread to other countries. Immigrants a hurt, sometimes fatally, in slaughterhouses at minimal pay. Cows are feed steroids to get beefier. It all adds up. It has affected me by now being aware of the process that it takes to make these hamburgers. The dangers in the slaughterhouse and the stuff that goes into it. I will definitely eat less fast food, but probably not all together. I don’t eat fast food all that much anyways, maybe once a month. I didn’t really think that other countries would think that American food chains would be considered American imperialism, and how threatened they were because of it. Some placed were looted and burned to the ground, others were bombed. Also I knew that obesity was an issue but I didn’t know that twenty-five percent of kids in America were obese. Reading a book like this makes me appreciate that I have a home-cooked meal just about every day during the week and not nothing but junk food from fast food restaurants.

Blog entry : Week 11
So far, this semester is going well for me. I usually do all the work required of me so I'm not doing too bad. With English class I personally find it easy to forget about the Online part of the class, some nights I don't remember until about 1am and I just facepalm. However, i think I'm doing okay. I use to struggle with essays a lot, they're definitely not my strong-suit, but I'm getting good grades on them this semester do I'm quite fond of my improvements. I'm not overloaded with the amount of work I am presented with from my three classes so I have plenty of time to enjoy my games. What keeps me motivated to continue on with school and to do all my work is that I use my video games as a reward. I don’t let myself play until my work is done, most of the time anyway.
